Whilst in this role some of my duties include:

• Help create improvements within the automation coverage of testing within projects whilst considerably reducing costs.

• Improve Quality of applications delivered to QA by introducing processes for capturing and storing requirements.

• Creating BDD frameworks for automation at UI and presentation layer levels

• Test Tool Specialist services in order to create automated software testing solutions, which compliment the manual approach being taken.

• Roll Out the Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Scripts and Test Cases for both automated and manual test approaches covering black, grey and white box testing.

• Hands on involvement in the creation & analysis of performance test scripts & results using amongst other performance testing technologies, JMeter. 

• Major part of the test automation team. Able to use a wide variety of technologies to implement test automation strategies within a project.

• Able to identify best technology to use for automating a test suite for a given project based on the requirements and architecture of that project.

• Creating automated scripts to test at service level using soapUI, Scenario testing with Cucumber and via frontend using numerous different tools including Selenium RC, WebDriver and QTP. 

• Continuous research into new test tools that can be used to aid in QA processes.

• Help with Quality Assurance for iPhone and Android application testing. Involvement in the creation of practices for this area.

• Involvement in the creation of many Quality Assurance practices currently in use.

• Get training courses on the concepts and use of Selenium and JMeter.
